The innovation uses a magnetic induction process for heating and melting basalt that can further be used for manufacturing various basalt products like fibers and filaments. The fiber cloth thus produced is a better electrical insulator and is able to take higher pressure than fiberglass. The Basalt fiber has various uses ranging from a lightweight massage table to a fighter jet. The process uses less minimal energy and is thus eco-friendly.
